SERVICE: Fort Richardson, Washington, D.C., the Peninsula, Va. in charge of siege train Army of the Potomac, Yorktown, Hanover Court House, Richmond, Gaines' Mill, Malvern Hill, Harrison's Landing, Alexandria, garrison at Fort Richardson.  Companies B and M detached with Army of the Potomac, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, Stafford Heights, Gettysburg, Bristoe, the Rappahannock, Brandy Station, Mine Run, rejoined regiment in defense of Washington January, 1864, Bermuda Hundred, garrison for batteries and forts on the Bermuda front, Petersburg and Richmond, Fort Converse, Redoubt Dutton, Batteries Spofford, Anderson, Pruyn and Perry on the Bermuda front, and Forts Rice, Morton, Sedgwick and McGilvrey, and Batteries 1-5, 9-12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, Burpee, Drake and Sawyer, on the Petersburg front, and at Dutch Gap, Fort Dutton, Fort Brady, Fort Fisher, Petersburg, Washington, D.C.
